So. About this website.
If you’ve been following any of our authors for a while, you may have noticed something: our books came out on schedule. Our covers looked good. Seiki fought his way through the Rogami Clan, entire civilizations rose and fell under questionable KPIs, artificers artificed, Henry tended to his harbor. And through all of it, this website sat here quietly running on a theme from 2017, displaying a single “Coming Soon!” placeholder like a tombstone for our own ambition.
We’d like to say this was a deliberate minimalist choice. A statement, even. “Look how little we need the internet,” we’d have said, stroking our chins meaningfully.
It was not that. We just got extremely, chronically distracted by the thing we’re actually supposed to be doing.
Here’s what we think happened, mechanically speaking: every author on this imprint put every available skill point into World-Building, Plot Architecture, and Stat-System Design, and left “Website Maintenance” sitting at Level 1 with zero investment, the way you ignore Charisma in every RPG until you desperately need to persuade a guard and instead just get thrown in a cell. We were so busy figuring out how a Golemancer’s workforce earns personhood, or what a non-lethal dungeon KPI dashboard would actually look like, that updating a WordPress page fell somewhere below “learn iaijitsu” on the priority list. And at least one of us actually did learn iaijitsu in that time, so you can see where our priorities landed.
Eight years is a long time to leave a website in beta. We know. We’re not going to pretend otherwise, and we’re not going to pretend the fix was hard, either… It wasn’t. It just required us to briefly step out of whatever dungeon, VRMMO, or corporate-civilization spreadsheet we were mentally living in, and remember that people occasionally like to click a link and see, you know. The books.
So: here’s the new site. Real catalog pages. All our series, actually listed. A newsletter that isn’t just a decorative signup box collecting dust. It’s not going anywhere this time; we leveled up Website Maintenance specifically so this wouldn’t happen again.
Thanks for sticking with us anyway. Turns out you don’t need a good website to build a loyal readership, but it does make for a better first level.
Welcome to the new LitRPG Freaks.
